Youth Are Here Bus, MAP Time and Sprockets of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.

With its grant, this foundation is funding three community youth activity programs: the Youth Are Here Bus in Minneapolis which transports children in dangerous neighborhoods to venues where they can participate in sports safely; MAP Time in northern Minnesota which provides indoor play space for children who otherwise cannot engage in outdoor activities during what are often dangerously cold winter months; and Sprockets, a new program under development in St. Paul to help improve the academic performance of children from low-income families by helping them stay physically and academically active during the summer months.
